leaning over the edge
thick as fog
they leap off the roofs
flapping sounds cover your head
as they lick the bones around you dry

the gargoyles are cruel and crouch
from the ledges they all dive

the ravaging prey

from the ground - don't know who they're after
they pick them clean up to the rafters
